ABOUT GARTH:

I've been making music and using sound as a modality for self healing for over 20 years.  Throughout my journey, I've received the message that sound can be used for physical, mental & spiritual healing.   Song can do more than excite the nervous system with danceable energy or revisit a cherished memory; it can be used to help move energy through the body and alleviate stagnation and blockage.  

A meditative trip to Peru solidified my decision of stepping onto this path.  There was much time to sit with my thoughts in the jungle, and they always came back to offering this service.  During this time I was able to observe and learn from the healing work of a strong linage of Curanderos that heal with Sound.  

I'm open to expanding even further into the whole with this work, offering the opportunity for people to heal themselves  with this Modality.

In my practice, I use a variety of tones and frequencies from a wide range of instruments.  Many of them are used in other ceremonial spaces for group healings.  The instruments originate from all over the world and I feel gratitude every time I get to work with them.  Sessions may include: Vocal Toning, Chimes, Sansula, Tibetan Singing Bowls, Crystal Bowls, Gong, Chacapa, Frame Drum, Shruti Box, Harmonica, Rattles, Overtone Singing, Chanting, Guitar, Tuning Forks and Flute.  

One-on-one sessions frequently begin with vocal toning, the practice of using specific sounds and visualization to activate the different energy centers of the body.  

If desired, different smudges can be used at varying points throughout the session to clear and release lingering or unwanted energies.   Additional natural plant essences and aromas may be used throughout the session to assist in relaxation. 

At the end of each session there is the option to ground and center with or without tuning forks.
